Our Impact
This summer, I had the privilege of participating in the Art Internship at Sanctuary Covenant Church in North Minneapolis. Every week, me and the other interns would plan, prepare, and execute the craft of the week. On each Wednesday, kids and adults from around the city would come for 2 hours and we would all create beautiful and fun art pieces, from vision boards to mosaics. I had a wonderful time welcoming people into these classes, sitting down and doing crafts with them, and seeing how everybody utilized their unique creativity. This internship allowed me to explore my own creativity, leadership skills, and best of all, meet and converse with individuals from the community. It was a beautiful experience, to be able to take a few hours a week to sit down with new people and create lovely art together in the midst of our chaotic world
